Terms of service

These Terms of Service apply to your use of the Trust The Movers website (trustthemovers.ca) and to any moving services you book with us. By using the website or booking a move, you agree to these terms.

Quotes provided through our website or by email are estimates based on the information you provide. Final cost is calculated based on actual time on the clock, crew size, the flat truck fee, and any specialty items or add-ons. A three-hour minimum applies to all hourly bookings, regardless of actual job length.

A booking is confirmed only when we send you a written confirmation with the agreed date, time, and crew size.

Payment is due on the day of the move, after the work is complete, unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept the payment methods listed in your booking confirmation. Late payments may be subject to additional charges.

You may reschedule or cancel your booking by contacting us at sales@trustthemovers.ca as soon as possible. Cancellation policies for specific bookings will be communicated in your booking confirmation. Last-minute cancellations may be subject to a fee to cover scheduled crew time.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information about the move, including inventory, access constraints (stairs, elevators, parking), and any special requirements
• Ensure clear access at both pick-up and drop-off locations on moving day
• Be present (or designate someone) at the start and end of the move
• Disclose any hazardous, illegal, or restricted items, which we will not transport

We carry liability and cargo insurance on every move. In the event of damage caused by us, we will repair or replace the affected item subject to the limits of our insurance coverage and applicable law.

Items of extraordinary value (jewellery, cash, important documents, high-value collectibles) should be transported by you personally unless we have agreed in writing to handle them with appropriate declared value coverage.

Claims for damage or loss must be reported in writing within 7 days of the move.

For safety and legal reasons, we will not transport:

• Hazardous materials (flammables, corrosives, explosives, ammunition)
• Live animals or plants requiring climate control
• Perishable food
• Illegal items or substances

We are not responsible for delays or service failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including weather, road conditions, traffic, building access restrictions, or government action.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to your move is limited to the total amount paid for that move. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The terms that apply to your move are the ones in effect on the date you book.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
